Electronics Related Sites and Pages
There are plenty of electronics related websites offering news, components, projects, guides and inspiration. Here's a list of some of the better links I have come across.
Hack A Day ( www.hackaday.com )
This site features some of the best Hacks from around the planet and is updated several times a day. Contents range from simple to complicated hacks, serious to silly and mildly boring to fascinating. An ideal place to visit if you're looking for some inspiration and some new ideas. Their website search is pretty useful too, helping you to find a specific type of hack previously featured. Maybe one day you'll have your 'hack' featured!
Instructables ( www.instructables.com/ )
This is where hobbiests share their "How To's" for everything! There are plenty of electrical projects here, but also lots of other projects which may take your fancy and offer inspiration. Most of the guides are well written and commented by other users offering their opinions and / or additions.
Circuit Examples
There are a lot of sites out there with example schematics to help you get used to basic electronic concepts (I'm still trying!). The examples they provide are not only very helpful in the learning process, but are also a lot of fun to build and play with.
Talking Electronics ( www.talkingelectronics.com )
Lots of free ebooks aimed at specific areas of electronics such as LEDS, Transistors, IC Circuits etc. Plenty to keep you busy for weeks!
Electronic-Circuit-Diagrams ( www.electronic-circuits-diagrams.com/ )
Similar to the previously mentioned sites. Lots of circuit projects.
Discover Circuits ( www.discovercircuits.com/list.htm )
Another top quality website with loads of circuit diagrams.
These are just a few sites of many containing some basic circuits for you (and I) to try out. If you have any other favourites, drop me a line here and let me know.
